AIPC sees training and education as a key element in encouraging excellence in facility management and operation. As a result, it carries out a number of educational initiatives in cooperation with members and other industry organizations:

• The AIPC Academy: a comprehensive industry professional education program designed to respond to member’s needs to be able to upgrade the breadth of their staff’s industry knowledge and to utilize the experience and expertise of industry leaders.
  The content of the program is designed to focus on topics that are unique to the management of congress centres. Staff who will benefit the most from this program are those who have been identified as having potential to take on a wider management role within a centre and need to expand their industry knowledge so that they have a broader understanding of all aspects of both congress centre management and the industry in which centres operate.
  
  2008 course date and location: February 3-8, in Brussels

• The AIPC International Sales & Marketing Summit is a forum in which senior level, congress centre Sales and Marketing Directors can define key issues, share experiences and develop strategies for response.
  
  The 2008 summit takes place in Frankfurt on April 20 in partnership with IMEX

• AIPC Seminars during industry trade shows
  The next AIPC Seminar takes place on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 during IMEX in Frankfurt.

• Educational Seminars at the Annual Conference.
  AIPC assembles a full program of educational seminars for the benefit of members attending the Annual Conference.

• Reciprocal enrolment agreements with IAPCO
  AIPC and IAPCO (the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers) have a reciprocal educational agreement that makes each association’s courses available at a member rate.
