AIPC sees Professional Development as a key element in encouraging excellence in facility management and operation. As a result, it carries out a number of educational initiatives in cooperation with members and other industry organizations:
The AIPC Academy: a comprehensive industry professional education program designed to respond to members needs to be able to upgrade the breadth of their staffs industry knowledge and to utilize the experience and expertise of industry leaders.
The content of the program is designed to focus on topics that are unique to the management of congress centres. Staff who will benefit the most from this program are those who have been identified as having potential to take on a wider management role within a centre and need to expand their industry knowledge so that they have a broader understanding of all aspects of both congress centre management and the industry in which centres operate.
2010 course date and location: February 7-12, in Brussels
- The AIPC International Sales & Marketing Summit is a forum in which senior level, congress centre Sales and Marketing Directors can define key issues, share experiences and develop strategies for response.
The 2009 summit takes place in Frankfurt on May 24 in partnership with IMEX
- The AIPC Facility Operations Summit,an event targeting facility managers engaged in centre operations and event coordination activities.
The 2008 summit takes place in Barcelona on November 30 and December 1 in partnership with EIBTM
